About the Diamond Body Practice

The Diamond Body Practice (DBP) is based on the logos and core principles of the Diamond Approach (DA) path and teaching. Since 2009, it has been taught in DA groups to bring the body more fully into the teachings. It has become a daily practice for individuals, to deepen their immediate in-touchness with their body and its wisdom, and support their inner inquiry. The DBP is a living, evolving practice, whose potential is continuing to unfold and mature as it comes alive and reveals itself in the bodies, souls and lives of those who practice.

Diamond Body Practice movements are simple and can be learned and practiced by anyone regardless of age, physical limitation or condition. They can be done standing, sitting, lying down, even just by visualization. The movements are translatable into the ordinary movements of daily life, creating a bridge between daily life and spiritual practice.

While outwardly simple and practical, when done with curiosity and attentive awareness, we discover that there is no end to what the practice can reveal about the subtleties and potentials of our consciousness. We start to learn that the practice is a kind of guide into a living, inner terrain. We can begin to experience that our spiritual depth is inseparable from every movement and sensation that arises out of and is expressed by our body and soul.

“The movements of the Diamond Body Practice have been developed to honor the body as an entrance to the spiritual realm and as a medium through which the mystery and beauty of spirit is expressed. As a support for realization, actualization, and embodiment, it shows us the seamlessness of spiritual and physical matter. We learn how spirit and matter walk as one in this world as an interpenetrated wholeness.

When we engage with heartfelt rigor, deep listening and refined sensing, its form will reveal what our soul is expressing in all of its various conditions from the most superficial to the vast spiritual expanses. Inquiry will unveil its inner treasure trove of beauty and wonderment in surprising and delightful ways, that enable human beings to unleash the fulfillment of the human form into the next level of evolution. The potential of this practice is as unlimited as reality itself.”

Originator of The Diamond Body Practice, Linda Krier

Linda Krier has been a Diamond Approach teacher since 1983 and an Aston-Patterning bodywork practitioner since 1976. Her passion lies in exploring and illuminating the spiritual nature of the body and its role in inner transformation while guiding others in this realm of discovery.

As a teacher of the Diamond Approach, Linda has worked with individuals and groups in the United States and Europe. She has also trained other Diamond Approach teachers in the bodywork aspects of this path. Currently, she offers supplemental training for Diamond Approach teachers, focusing on incorporating the body in new ways to enrich the inquiry process.

In her role as an Aston-Patterner, Linda has worked in pain clinics, maintained a private practice, and served as a faculty member at the Aston Training Center. Through the use of movement and hands-on techniques, she has worked directly with the body to unwind historical imprints and open new possibilities for embodied living.

In 2008, at the request of Diamond Approach founder Hameed Ali, Linda began developing the Diamond Body Practice (formerly known as Five Movements). This practice is designed to help students engage their bodies in inquiry and embody their realizations. Linda has taught the practice to hundreds of Diamond Approach students and has trained instructors of the Diamond Body Practice. She continues to contribute to the evolution of the practice in the lives and bodies of Diamond Approach practitioners.
